There are two things wrong here

1. This is not a rendering issue - this is a data issue.  I suspect what happened was the perf master took so long between two messages that it hit the 20min expiration timeout and Milo just marked the build as expired.
1a. It's possible because the build crashed, the finished build never got sent to Milo.

2. The build crashed, so the Logdog client/server never received the "close" because annotee never sent it, so the logdog log remains open

With some performance fixes, the pubsub publisher should not be delayed by 20 minutes, so we shouldn't be hitting this class of errors again.
