What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) On a low dpi device, visit a site with an opaque scroller having a positioned descendant, like http://output.jsbin.com/pibeqo/quiet
(2) Examine the text very closely.
What is the expected result?
Expect subpixel anti-aliasing / LCD text.
What happens instead?
There is no LCD text.
The problem is that any positioned descendant of the scroller is automatically promoted if it is not contained by the scroller. In the short term, we should probably not promote opaque scrollers unless they are stacking contexts. In the long term perhaps we can check if promoting them would cause text promotion which loses LCD text.
