Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.99 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open chrome://sync/ 2. Look at Sync Protocol Log 3. The End :) What is the expected behavior? When I sign into the browser, all data would be synced from https://www.google.com/settings/chrome/sync What went wrong? Nothing is syncing. Did this work before? Yes 53 Chrome version: 54.0.2840.99 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0 I've tried the "reset sync" option about 50 times and I don't know what more to do. I've reset the browser, I've tried canary, I've uninstalled/reinstalled. The synced data doesn't seem to be completely uploading from the existing PC since the "reset sync" was applied. I also can't get the little data that is uploaded, to download to my new PC via sync.

bqschwarting@: To investigate this further I need to look at server logs for failing account. - Did you use bqschwarting@ account to sign in to chrome? - Do I have your permission to look at server side data for bqschwarting@?

yes I use that to sign in. yes you have permissions. (can you mask it out so it's not public on this thread?)

I looked at the data for 11/15. When client performed initial sync it sent lots of GetUpdates requests that don't return any entries, only update progress markers for autofill and bookmarks datatypes. After about 40 minutes of such requests client finished initial sync and started committing items to server. Later in the day different client started the same loop, but at some point requests were rejected with 429 status (too many requests), this caused SYNC_SERVER_ERROR. I filed b/32954296 to continue server side investigation.

Looks like my browser finally synced up. I see my extensions, bookmarks, and passwords.
