Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.99 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open too many tabs and let them stay at background 2. Come after some hours and try to open new tab with mouse click 3. Tab opening is very slow and laggy. I have Intel Core i7 and 12 gb ram, and it feels like im using a very old pc. What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? Chrome slows in UI animations after openşing some windows and some tabs (in my case 8-10 windows and 3-4 tabs each) Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 54.0.2840.99 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Unable to reproduce the issue on Win-10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.11.6 using chrome reported version #54.0.2840.99 and latest canary #57.0.2934.0. Attached a screen cast for reference. Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. Opened too many tabs and let them stay at background. 2. Came after few hours and tried to open new tab with mouse click. 3. Tabs opened quickly without any issues. canblbn@ - Could you please check this issue on latest canary #57.0.2934.0 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not.
