Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: Trigger a notification What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? Displayed notifications on chrome desktop show in their own notification system. This makes it impossible to use a system wide do-not disturb and can make notifications confusing. There's a native notification system in Linux, macOS and Windows 10 that would make the notification system much better. Did this work before? No Chrome version: 54.0.2840.100 Channel: stable OS Version: Arch Linux Gnome 3.22 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Thank you for the bug, Philip! We're planning to move to native notifications for Windows (Issue 516147) and Mac ( Issue 326539 ). If you use Mac, you can already try them out by enabling the native notification center flag on chrome://flags. We have no plans for Linux right now. Let me close this issue since it's effectively a duplicate of the two aforementioned ones. Thanks, Peter |
