Tested this issue on Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome latest stable M54-54.0.2840.100. I don't have an account to log-in to office 365 account instead tried logging in with outlook and other email accounts by following steps mentioned in the original comment. Observed no issues in loading in the page.

taylorboyer@ - Could you please confirm is this issue seen only on office 365? Are you able to reproduce this issue on incognito mode as well? Could you please upgrade your browser to chrome latest stable #54.0.2840.100 and recheck for this issue.
I confirm there was an issue loading Office 365 (Outlook in my case) with Chromium 53 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS since an Ubuntu update last week.

It's now working again since an Ubuntu and Chromimum update this morning (Version 53.0.2785.143 Built on Ubuntu , running on Ubuntu 16.04 (64-bit)).

I'm not sure it's exclusively a Chromium issue because I didn't notice a Chromium update last week (sorry I didn't check Chromium build number by I was already with a version 53).

Here are the logs of my recent Ubuntu Updates:
