Mac "spelling and grammar" dialog replaces words in all webpages

Issue description

Chrome Version       : 54.0.2840.87
OS Version: OS X 10.12.1
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
  Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
     Safari 5:
  Firefox 4.x:
     IE 7/8/9:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. create a document (either google docs or gmail) enter two misspelled words and press the Show spell and grammar shortcut (command + colon) and press enter on the selected word.

What is the expected result?
The correct word is being fixed


What happens instead of that?
The misspelled words are replaced. repeating this action gives strange results even on new document showing misspelled words from other document (see attachment, the word "leviavi" in the popup screen relates to other document)
