(1) Browse as guest or Sign in to User>> go to Uber tray>> try to hover lock button>> again try to hover settings icon>> and observe Expected: Misplacement of tool tip is should not be seen (Refer screenshot) Actual: Misplacement of tool tip should not be seen on hovering (Refer screenshot) This is a Non-Regression issue as this a new UI material design is introduced in M56

Seems the reason for this could very well be that the buttons are much wider than before (48x48). If you hover over the right side of the button to invoke the tooltip and then move the cursor to the left edge of the button (while still staying within the button bounds) the tooltip may look misplaced given the distance the mouse has traveled within the button. Can this be reproduced in a way other than what I just described?

If #3 is the only way then I would think we could leave it as is for now and think of changing the tooltip positioning more in line of how shelf items bubbles behave (aligned with the item rather than at a fixed offset down and right from the mouse pointer).

There are no other repro steps for the above issue than which the steps mentioned in #3

Punting it to pri-3 since the behavior is same as with other views in the system UI. We may still want to look into positioning tooltips better in general so keeping this open.
