Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.90 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: Perhaps, it's not a problem, a feature request rather. What is the expected behavior? It would be great to have some mechanism to handle playback of HTML5 audio and video elements from media keys on the keyboard. Currently, if more than one media players are running on the computer, then OS handles the situation well. Similarly, this should work for chrome too, accepting events for current tab only. What went wrong? Nothing. Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? N/A Chrome version: 54.0.2840.90 Channel: n/a OS Version: Ubuntu 16.04 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

I think there're two sides to this: one is handling the media keys when the player uses the default controls and the other one is having an API for the page to handle the media keys (aka MediaSession API).
