Crash when uploading multiple files and renaming one

Issue description

Chrome Version       : 54.0.2840.100
OS Version:

  Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
     Safari 5:
  Firefox 4.x:
     IE 7/8/9:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. In Gmail, click to join a file
2. Select several files with shift+arrow keys. Don't press "Open".
3. Rename one of the files in a terminal.

What is the expected result?

Detecting the file name change and, preferably, proposing to join the files under their new names.

What happens instead of that?

Crashing.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Reproduced on 54.0.2840.100 (Official Build) unknown (64-bit) linux.  There seemed to be some attempt to adapt (the dialog box changed and there was terminal output) but eventually chrome crashed.  That happened without any interaction after the file rename.

Crash id 4b45743700000000.  It's deep in lib gtc/glib.
