Issue descriptionChrome Version: Version 54.0.2840.71 (64-bit) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Open several tabs to different websites (2) Keep Chrome open for 4-5 days (3) Close some tabs, open others over the days (4) Check Activity Monitor for RAM usage What is the expected result? Chrome should use the same amount of RAM after multiple days as it does when the tabs are first loaded. What happens instead? Over time Chrome will use an increasing amount of RAM, checking the activity monitor in OSX I can see that Chrome is using up to 6GB of my 8GB of RAM, there are also multiple instances of the Chrome Helpers with each taking up 50-100MB of RAM. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. I know that this bug is easily fixed by restarting Chrome but this can be inconvenient. It seems that perhaps the cache is using up RAM somehow? I've just restarted Chrome so I can't provide a screenshot but will provide one in future if you'd like.

I have thee exact same issue on chrome 62.0.3202.94 running on ubuntu 17.04. I tried starting chrome with memory logging but clicking the report button in about:memory-internals did nothing. What can I do do help solve this issue?
