Javascript alerts does not show after opening new tab from today extension

Issue description

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) go to http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/tryit.asp?filename=tryjsref_alert
(2) tap "Try it"
(3) A javascript alert appears
(4) Press home button
(5) Open a new tab from the today extension
(6) Tap "Try it"

What is the expected result?
An alert should appear

What happens instead?
No alert appears.

Hey Kurt, is this behavior intended? 
Venkat could you check if this is also happening on Safari?
Status: Started (was: Assigned)
No it is a bug, and I have a fix for it.
Actually you cannot open any new javascript alert.
