Hanja (Chinese characters) conversion requires pressing 'option-return' twice

Version: 53.0.2785.143, 56.0.2905.0 canary (64-bit)
OS: Mac OS 10.11

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to any textarea (like this one)
(2) Switch the input/kbd to Korean 2-bulshik)
(3) Type 'gks' 
(4) Press Option-Return 

What is the expected result?

In step 3, you'll see '한'
In step 4, you'll see a drop-down list of Hanja (Chinese characters) to choose from

What happens instead?

Step 3 works as expected. 
Step 4 does not do anything. 

If you press 'Option-Return' once more (i.e. repeat step 4), you'll see the drop-down list of Hanjas to choose from.

In the native UI (e.g. Omnibox), it works fine.

On Mac 10.12.1/Chrome 56.0.2914.0 & 55.0.2883.44,  the input is automatically committed after pressing Option-Return (step#4).

I can reproduce on my Mac 10.12.1/54.0.2840.87.
But when I type korean into textarea and than press right key button.
It works fine. I think it has something wrong with type complete timing.

On 62.0.3202.94 MacOS 10.13, It got worse. Hanja conversion does not occur even on the second 'Option-Return'. So, there is no way to write Hanja on chrome. It is the basic function of Korean IME on mac.
