||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionVersion: 53.0.2785.143, 56.0.2905.0 canary (64-bit) OS: Mac OS 10.11 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Go to any textarea (like this one) (2) Switch the input/kbd to Korean 2-bulshik) (3) Type 'gks' (4) Press Option-Return What is the expected result? In step 3, you'll see '한' In step 4, you'll see a drop-down list of Hanja (Chinese characters) to choose from What happens instead? Step 3 works as expected. Step 4 does not do anything. If you press 'Option-Return' once more (i.e. repeat step 4), you'll see the drop-down list of Hanjas to choose from. Please use labels and text to provide additional information. In the native UI (e.g. Omnibox), it works fine.

sorry, I'm not quite familiar with non-Android OSes, and I don't have a cycle for other platforms... (I'm working on a dogfood blocker issue...)

On Mac 10.12.1/Chrome 56.0.2914.0 & 55.0.2883.44, the input is automatically committed after pressing Option-Return (step#4).

I can reproduce on my Mac 10.12.1/54.0.2840.87. But when I type korean into textarea and than press right key button. It works fine. I think it has something wrong with type complete timing.

On 62.0.3202.94 MacOS 10.13, It got worse. Hanja conversion does not occur even on the second 'Option-Return'. So, there is no way to write Hanja on chrome. It is the basic function of Korean IME on mac.
