No user action is reported for offset navigations

Project Member Reported by eugene...@chromium.org, Nov 9 2016

Issue description

Steps to reproduce:
1.) Long press on back or forward browser button
2.) Tap/Click on an entry from drop down

Observed behavior:
No UserAction is reported for iOS and I think nothing is reported for other platforms as well.

Expected behavior:
We should report something (f.e. we do report Back/Forward)

+PMs for desktop and both mobile platforms.

This seems like something we should be able to track, and not having any metrics here feels like an oversight rather than a specific decision. We shouldn't be totally blind to the usage of user-visible features, especially if we go looking for changes in behavior due to other UI changes.

I agree, this would be very nice to have.
