Javascript on SharePoint online work in Chrome on Windows BUT has errors on Mac

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.71 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. On a SharePoint online team site
2. Add Script Editor web part with following code
3. Follow steps on this blog post http://www.sharepointblue.com/2016/10/office365-subsite-logo-redirection.html

What is the expected behavior?
Page renders fine in Chrome on Windows but shows spinning red icon and failures on page using F12

What went wrong?
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'create' of undefined(…)
Home.aspx:777 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property 'href' of null(…)

Can you please check if you still see this issue by upgrading to the latest stable build # 54.0.2840.87 available ?
This issue is resolved and was not a bug. It was some Java script issue.
