Printing receipts from point of sale system is missing letters

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.71 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Process transaction in our Point of sale software 2. Click Print Receipt, preview looks fine 3. Click Print and it's missing random letters on the printout What is the expected behavior? Should be no missing letters. Using Windows 7 Pro 64bit, 8gb ram, Star SP500 receipt printer. similar Issue 439789..did not see resolution What went wrong? Random letters are missing on the printout. This has worked fine for the past 7 years, the last few weeks this has been a headache. Customers don't want unreadable receipts for products and services they've purchased. similar Issue 439789..did not see resolution Did this work before? Yes Two Months ago Chrome version: 54.0.2840.71 Channel: n/a OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0 We can provide you demo logins for our application.

Please try using --disable-gdi-text-printing as a workaround. If you are not sure how, refer to: https://www.chromium.org/for-testers/command-line-flags Otherwise, hang on and wait for a new update, which will apply the workaround by default.

Thank you for the resolution. It seems to be working. All of our clients are thankful. Hoping you add that as the default setting in your next release.

It is the default setting in 54.0.2840.93 and newer. If you have not received the update, you should soon. |
