Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.71 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Browse a URL 2. Open Dev tools (press F12 key) 3. Go to Elements tab in Dev tools 4. Search for HTML element (Ex.: <div class="wrapper"> or id="breadcrumbs") What is the expected behavior? The result must not be empty (there are matching elements) The matching elements must be highlighted. What went wrong? But in fact, no element was found, even though there are elements matching the search keyword. No elements are highlighted. Did this work before? No Chrome version: 54.0.2840.71 Channel: n/a OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Tested on Windows 10 using chrome stable M54 #54.0.2840.87 and issue is reproduced. Issue is seen from M30 #30.0.1549.0 and is a non-regression issue. Hence, marking it as untriaged. Note : Issue is seen in Mac and Linux OS also.

The search box already supports css selectors - so you can type "#breadcrumbs" for this. |
