UDL 3.0 dock does not work despite being advertised as working

Reported by realgran...@gmail.com, Nov 6 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 8743.76.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.79 Safari/537.36
Platform: 8743.76.0 (Official Build) stable-channel falco

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Plug in a UDL 3 adapter (STLab U-1100 in my case) into HP Chromebook 14 G1
2.
3.

What is the expected behavior?
External display detected

What went wrong?
External display does not work with DisplayLink 3 dock; only audio is routed to HDMI

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 54.0.2840.79 Channel: stable
OS Version: 8743.76.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

I don't see any DisplayLink bits investigating R54 stable image for falco.

Could anyone make sure DisplayLink 3.0 driver is enabled on this platform?
Okay, I have verified R55 beta channel working with a DisplayLink USB 3.0 device. So the conclusion is that the mentioned hardware works from R55 onwards.
