Regression : Unwanted glimpse of line is seen at the bottom of cast overlay.

Issue descriptionVersion: 56.0.2909.0 57c0a6fdc6a530bcb43f6657a8cf708752adca66-refs/heads/master@{#429737} (64-bit) OS: Mac OS X(10.10.5, 10.11.4) Pre condition : Enable 'Media router' flag from chrome://flags What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch chrome,navigate to NTP. 2. Now right click to open cast overlay and immediately observe at the bottom of cast overlay. Actual: Unwanted glimpse of line is seen at the bottom of cast overlay Expected: Unwanted glimpse of line is seen at the bottom of cast overlay This is regression issue, broken in ‘M 54’ and will soon update other info : Good build:54.0.2798.0 Bad build: 54.0.2799.0 Note : Issue is not seen on Linux and Windows OS.

My change only affects bounds of SVG text drawing, and so is unlikely to affect a line. The changelog above includes WebGL rolls, a Skia roll, and a couple of other changes that could be culprit. We should bisect within that change log. I'm OOO til Mon but can look then.

@mnikam are you able to repro this issue with latest Canary, or M55 Beta? I can repro, I think, with Linux Chrome 54.0.2840.90 but not with 56.0.2906.0. So, if it is indeed already fixed, we could either bisect to find fixing change or close as WontFix and wait for M55/56 to ship.

With response to comment #3 : Rechecked the above issue with latest canary chrome version 56.0.2915.0 on Mac (10.11.6) and the issue is still reproducible. Kindly refer the attached screen cast for reference.

This is such a minor, transient problem that I can't see us choosing to invest time in fixing it (relative to other tasks on our plate). |
