All audio from chrome has an echo/reverb.

Reported by ninjashr...@gmail.com, Nov 3 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.71 Safari/537.36

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Play any form of audio be it music or videos.
2.
3.

What is the expected behavior?
Normal audio playback

What went wrong?
Everything has an echo to it.

Did this work before? N/A

Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 54.0.2840.71 Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Stored media does not produce an echo so it is not a computer problem. Other browsers play audio clearly with no problem. I tried removing all extensions and disabling all plugins in chrome and the echo is still there. I tried canary. I tried disabling hardware acceleration. Nothing works. I am on Windows 10.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Win10 machine. Tried playing both the YouTube & CNN videos and the audio works fine.

Please upgrade to the latest Stable Build # 54.0.2840.99 available and check if you still come across the issue.
The echo still exists on anything that plays audio through the chrome
browser after the latest update.

Would you like me to create a video of it happening and attach it in email?

do you still repro this bug with latest Chrome build? please also try to play any flash to see if you have the same echo.
Version 55.0.2883.87 m 64-bit

Issue still exists. Also opened a flash game. All audio had a reverb. Same
goes for any other audio source via Chrome.
Disregard that last email. Everything seems to be working fine right now. I
will notify the support team if the issue reappears.
