Can't Sign in with google account

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/51.0.2704.79 Chrome/51.0.2704.79 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Start browser
2. Enter e-mail address 
3. enter password

What is the expected behavior?
Sync google account data (bookmarks ...)

What went wrong?
"Uh-Oh service unavailable; please try later."

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 51.0.2704.79  Channel: stable
OS Version: 14.04
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 20.0 r0

Tested on Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome stable M54 #54.0.2840.87 and issue is not reproduced.

Could you please try updating the chrome stable version to the latest and try again. If you still face the issue , please write us with your observations.

Even ppa:canonical-chromium-builds/stage has only 51.0.2704.106 build. 
So, where can I get 54 stable chromium build?

I have installed the latest stable google-chrome (54.0.2840.90 (64-bit)). There is no issue with Google-chrome. 

But what about Chromium browser?

https://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/download-chromium contains a few ways we support getting Chromium. Kicking this over to sign in instead of sync, but hopefully a M54+ build of Chromium will work.
