Issue descriptionExample URL: https://www.pinterest.com/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Visit Pinterest (and login). 2. Click on a link to visit a pin. 3. Be hijacked to the Play store to install their app. What is the expected behavior? Link will open in the Chrome browser like any other site. What went wrong? The site hijacks my session and opens the Play store. I do not want their app. I prefer to use Chrome. I can use multiple tabs and all of the other features of a fully functional browser. If I request the site in Desktop mode, I am able to continue to use Chrome though the site is not as mobile friendly. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 54.0.2840.8 Channel: stable OS Version: 7.0 Flash Version: This bug could be resolved by either preventing hijacking to the play store in the mobile version or allowing a setting to "Always open this site in desktop mode". Yes, this is Pinterest being stupid but they have no incentive to let people not have their app. (Other sites do this as well but Pinterest is the most consistent example.)

This is Pinterest's decision and Chromium/Blink cannot fix. |
