Allow user generated shadow DOM to be hidden in Chrome Dev Tools

Reported by philipjm...@gmail.com, Nov 2 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.71 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
Hi,

I know that you can hide User Agent Shadow Dom using the "Show user agent shadow DOM" switch in Chrome Dev Tools. It would be nice to add a switch to allow user created shadow DOM to be hidden too (e.g. Polymer generated content - see attached screenshot). Any plans to do this?

Thanks,

Philip

What is the expected behavior?

Seth, can we ask polymer team (and other heavy users of shadow dom) on their experiences using Elements panel? We need good understanding of what we need for web components going forward.

This didn't get enough traction for a while.
