UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.71 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- run Chrome on Mac (El Capitan)
- go to Youtube main page
- command click on videos to open them in new tab
- after about 15 tabs opened, Chrome slows down a lot
- looking in Performance Monitor, there is a "Chrome Helper" running at 100+% CPU
- Kill that process, all YT tabs get the sad face, and everything returns to normal.
- interestingly, reloading all those pages doesn't cause the 100+% Chrome Helper to return
What is the expected behavior?
Chrome does not slow down, or I get some warning that Chrome is overloaded.
What went wrong?
A Chrome helper process goes into 100+% CPU usage until it is killed.
Did this work before? Yes ?
