Broken text ellipsis with child in button and display: flex

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_4) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2902.0 Safari/537.36

Example URL:
http://jsbin.com/dasebuj/1/edit?html,css,output

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a button with display: flex; flex-direction: column
2. Add a child to the button with some text and try using text-ellipsis: overflow on that item

What is the expected behavior?
The text ellipsis should apply, like it would if the parent was a div.

What went wrong?
The text ellipsis does not apply.

Does it occur on multiple sites: N/A

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A 

Did this work before? N/A 

Does this work in other browsers? N/A

Chrome version: 56.0.2902.0  Channel: dev
OS Version: OS X 10.11.4
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Tested the issue on windows 7, Mac 10.11.6 using chrome version 56.0.2905.0 and stable 54.0.2840.71 with the URL  http://jsbin.com/dasebuj/1/edit?html,css,output.Observed as like in screen shot.

oliverjash@Please find the attached screen shot consists of both M40 and M56 behaviour.
Could you please confirm on the expected behaviour to triage the issue further.

Expected behaviour is seen on the left on the screenshot, but actual is on the right.

Tested in chrome stable #54.0.2840.87 and canary #56.0.2912.0 on Mac 10.11.6 and was able to reproduce the issue.

Note : Able to reproduce the issue in Ubuntu 14.04 & Win 10.0

Still able to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 14.04,Win 10.0 & Mac 10.11.6 using latest chrome version 57.0.2926.0.
