Issue descriptionGoogle Chrome 54.0.2840.79 (Official Build) beta (64-bit) Revision 0 Platform 8743.76.0 (Official Build) beta-channel link What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Set the shelf position to left or right (2) See carefully the time indicated in the shelf What is the expected output? The time is rendered correctly. What do you see instead? The top few pixels are cropped at the minutes. Clearer to see at "0", "2", "3". See the attached image. abodenha for triaging. Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

Grrr.... How I wish we could get rid of side-docked shelf... tbuckley@ & tdanderson@ could this be triggered by MD stuff?

On ToT I only see this reproduce at 2x device scale factor, which is consistent with comment #1. It's possible this was caused by MD work. FWIW this looks fine @2x with material design (attached) which is scheduled to be enabled by default by EOD Monday. With that said, I don't know if this particular non-MD bug would be worth addressing.
