||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionVersion: 54.0.2840.59 m OS: Windows What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Open webpage (2) Crtl + P or right click and select print What is the expected output? Printer should print complete text What do you see instead? Printout is missing text Few other things users report 1. Text does not appear to be missing in print preview 2. Changing scaling back to 100% fixes the issue 3. Users can print using same page (with scaling) using other browsers like Edge 4. This has now started happening in Opera 41 as well Forum : https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/6BtILLT6fbQ

Can you reproduce this personally, or are you quoting the product forum? When you say "scaling", what do you mean exactly? There's no scaling feature in print preview yet. We are still working that. See also bug 658606 .

Can you pls try to launch chrome with "--disable-gdi-text-printing" flag to see whether this still happens?
,
Nov 1 2016
To confirm, you want me to launch Chrome like this? "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-gdi-text-printing

Launching Chrome like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-gdi-text-printing, fixes the problem. So we are in business with the --disable-gdi-text-printing. Is this something that can be fixed in a future build?

thanks for the confirmation. It will be fixed.
