Preconnect throbber invisible in background tabs on Win 7

The "preconnect" (slow grey) throbber is invisible in background tabs on my Win 7 box.  Screenshot attached.  That blank spot is where the throbber is.  (This will vary on other versions of Windows because of differences in how the tabstrip and window frame are rendered; in Win 7 Aero, background tabs are semitransparent, and my desktop background is black, so this is the net appearance.)

I think maybe we're drawing this as a specific fully-opaque grey instead of picking a contrasting (possibly semi-transparent?) color.  So if the tab background happens to be that color you're screwed.

yea, that's stinky.

It has a default color but also applies the theme's button tint to it[1]. 

admittedly this is imperfect as the botton tint only really makes sense on top of the toolbar color/fg tabs. You can see here[2] where it's used.

Maybe we have to get the alpha of the bg tab, the color of the frame, and then alphablend the spinner into the frame color according to the bg tab alpha value?
