is there any instance where webmediaplayer is informed that app is getting closed/paused ?

I faced similar issue when adding some code to StreamTextureHost destruct or.
I added a CRASH() in ~webmediaplayerandroid code. Tried below two use cases.

case1:

1. Open chrome_public_apk on android.
2. open http://tinyurl.com/yb6jdcv  (hls video will play)
3. close tab , close browser.
4. no crash is observed.

case2:

1. Open chrome_public_apk on android.
2. open http://tinyurl.com/yb6jdcv  (hls video will play)
3. open google.com on same tab
4. crash is observed.

In case1 its not crashing, is this an expected behaviour?
