2FA QR code are not rendered

Project Member Reported by ukai@chromium.org, Oct 26 2016

Issue description

Version: 54.0.2840.71 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: Linux

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) https://myaccount.google.com/security
(2) 2 factor authentication
(3) authenticator app -> change

What is the expected output?
What do you see instead?

QR code should be shown, but stop just before rendering QR code.
QR code seems to be shown when it cancels (and soon disappears), or
switched to another tab and back to the tab?

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

I can't reproduce this on Linux Version 54.0.2840.59 beta (64-bit). Note that to get to the screen in question you need to sign in a couple of times and use the little "edit" icon to change the app.

I got the QR code no problem.

ukai@, is this reliably reproducible?

Test team, are you seeing it?

Adding NextAction for feedback timeout.

it was reliably reproducible.
it seems it missed last paint event or so.

Unable to reproduce the issue and able to see the QR code being generated.
Could you please take a look into the screen cast of Ubuntu 14.04 on Stable 54.0.2840.71 as attached and let us know if anything is missed.

hmm, it just was too slow?
https://goo.gl/photos/oQPryJ7aRG68fJiC9

it seems it takes long time (> 1 minute) after it stops loading animation
especially when full screen?
and without any event (e.g. if I don't move mouse etc.)

I tried it on a Wireless device on our impaired networks and it still displayed correctly, at least in Canary.

This might be related to a bug we had in png loading over slow networks, but I thought that was fixed and merged into m54.

ukai@, can you try a different machine and also Chrome Canary (or Beta on Linux) and see if it still reproduces?

I don't think google guest wifi is slow...

anyway, it won't reproduce on Chromium 56.0.2906.0 (Developer Build) on hp Z620 + google network.

To clarify "impaired networks" I meant the 2G simulated WiFi networks we have.

I'll leave the bug open for now and we'll check back in a couple of weeks to see if the issue persists.
