Autofill causes input fields to rapidly change focus. |
||||
Issue descriptionReproducible on both of the following versions: 56.0.2897.0 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) on Linux. 53.0.2785.154 (Official Build) (64-bit) on ChromeOS. Steps to reproduce: Make sure Chrome autofill has a record with e-mail and phone number. Open https://myfitrec.bu.edu/wbwsc/webtrac.wsc/wbsa0100.html. Scroll down to section "Email and Phone information." Focus on first field "Primary Email Address". Press <down> to open Autofill menu. Select any record. Expected behavior: Fields get filled automatically. What happens instead: Focus changes very rapidly between "Home Phone", "Cell Phone", "Work Phone" fields, causing these fields to flash. Mouse click or <tab> does not take focus. Only way to get out of this seems to be to navigate away from the page.

I'm not able to reproduce on Linux either. Math, any luck?

Last night I experienced this on two laptops. Now I can also reproduce it on my work computer, using 56.0.2897.0 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) again, both with my work profile and my personal profile. Also I found that changing focus to a different window and then back stops the flickering.

I can repro, it's pretty trippy! 54 Stable on Linux. I would have to investigate more to know the exact cause. Also zkoch@ -- on which fields do you see autocomplete=off?

This bug has an owner, thus, it's been triaged. Changing status to "assigned". |
