Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.143 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open the attached testinput.html 2. Click inside the text input. What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? The tab froze. F12 for instance doesn't work. After some time, it shows "the page isn't responding". If you wait long enough, you can take control again. The attached screenshot shows the CPU profile, which suggests that 3 minutes 7 seconds was long enough. Crashed report ID: How much crashed? Just one tab Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 53.0.2785.143 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0 It works fine on Firefox.

Seems to be a duplicate of #624842 https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=624842 Adding the HTML spellcheck attribute (="false") reduces the freezing to less than a second.
