Missing new tab button when clicked

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.21 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Click and hold the new tab button

What is the expected behavior?
The new tab button should continue to display, signifying that it has been pressed

What went wrong?
The new tab button goes entirely missing until you stop clicking, see screenshot

Did this work before? Yes Chrome 54 beta

Chrome version: 55.0.2883.21  Channel: beta
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Able to reproduce this issue on Windows 10 on latest chrome beta version 55.0.2883.21. 
This issue is not seen in latest canary version 56.0.2899.0
Issue is broken in M56. 

Below are the bisect details for the same:

Bisect Info:
===========
Good Build : 56.0.2887.0,  Revision Range (424315)                                           
Bad Build  : 56.0.2886.0 , Revision Range (424099)


After executing the bisect script in reverse, i got the following CL's between good and bad build versions
