No way to click ARC++ notifications |
|||||
Issue descriptionGoogle Chrome 53.0.2785.154 (Official Build) (64-bit) Revision 0 Platform 8530.96.0 (Official Build) stable-channel samus ARC 3322987 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Install ARC++. (2) Get an Update notification from the play store. (3) Try to click the tiny X or the "Update" button. What is the expected output? The X dismiss the notification, the update button should install the update. What do you see instead? Nothing happens, clicking the update button has no effect. Clicking the tiny X also has no effect. The notification is stuck there. You *can* use the touch screen though, but not the mouse. Note also that the little X is impossibly small, it's much too small a target to click for many users.

The issue of small close button has been fixed since M54: Issue 642825. Let me check the issue of non-clickable.

data point: For M54 samus, I have a problem clicking the pop-up notification for hangouts, but I can click the notification I open from the message center.

For M56 samus, pop-up notifications are clickable. Let me check it on M55.

I tried M55 samus (55.0.2882.0, 8871) I could click on internal monitor, but clicking on notification on external monitor as primary monitor didn't work.

I can reproduce the bug on samus 54.0.2840.74: tap (touch) works, but click doesn't work.

Umm, it looks notifications in extended screen doesn't receieve any mouse events at all, including OnMouseEntered/Exited/Clicked, so that it has no close button and click doesn't work. I think this is because one surface window is hosted by two ArcCustomNotificationView's (= NativeViewHost's). Xiyuan, do you have any good solution to solve the probem?

Note that I'm not using an external screen, just the internal one of a Samus. So the title change you made here doesn't reflect that bug.

Sorry for confusion. Then let me file another bug for external monitor notifications. And let me close this issue since the original bug of non-external monitor has been fixed in M55 and later. I know we have a problem of clicking on M54, but it's too late to fix it. Please re-open if you find a bug on M55 or later. Thanks. |
