A recent Chromium update along with a Visa Verification service update means it's no longer possible to add funds to your National Lottery (UK) account via Chromium

Reported by broadsworde@gmail.com, Oct 22 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Log in to https://www.national-lottery.co.uk/
2. Click Add Funds link (having registered and validated appropriate credit card)
3. Enter £ amount to add to account
4. Enter card Security Code
5. Click Next button, then click Next button again
6. The 'Verified By Visa' frame opens for a short while, but then is replaced by the login screen for https://www.national-lottery.co.uk/

What is the expected behavior?
The 'Verified By Visa' screen should complete and take you to your https://www.national-lottery.co.uk/ home page with the account updated with the funds requested.

What went wrong?
Having spoken to National Lottery, they tell me this is a known issue recently caused by an update to Chromium and the Visa Verification process. I am therefore reporting it to both organisations.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: Version 53.0.2785.143 Built on Ubuntu , running on Ubuntu 16.04 (64-bit) Channel: stable
OS Version: Ubuntu 16.04

Couldn't test this issue as URL: https://www.national-lottery.co.uk/ is applicable for UK residents only.
When tried opening an account after navigating to URl: https://www.national-lottery.co.uk/, it showed an error page as shown in attached screenshot.

broadsworde@ - Could you please provide another sample URL to test this issue.

bauerb@, since you're located in UK, are you able to reproduce this issue?

(Removing Blink>Payments component, as this is not related to the web payments API. This could be a UI>Browser>Autofill component, but hard to tell without being able to reproduce the problem.)
