Can not select template in google sites

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_5) AppleWebKit/601.7.8 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/9.1.3 Safari/537.86.7

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create new google site
2. Goto into gallery
3. Pick site from template list

What is the expected behavior?
Select option and move forward

What went wrong?
Select button does not work

Did this work before? Yes v.52

Chrome version:  54.0.2840.59 (64-bit)  Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.9.5
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0
 
Works fine in Safari.

Is there a link to a test page we can try this on?
Login as a google user and select sites from the group of icons. Pick any template from the list and try to hit select. Nothing happens.

The gallery select button now works in the latest version of Chrome (54.0.2840.87). However, it gives an error message when you try to hit create - "there was an error creating your site. Please try again." See attached.

If the site works in Safari but not Chrome, it's probably because of an extension you have enabled. Try disabling all of those and trying again.
The current create error is in both Safari and Chrome.

Then this isn't a Chrome bug, sorry. Perhaps you could file a bug against sites?
