Inconsistency between Mobile and Desktop confirmation screen. |
||||
Issue descriptionThe mobile and desktop confirmation screens (see attached files) are some slight UI differences, although they have the same messages. Should we try to reconcile those and be consistent on all the platforms? Something that "jumped" at me was the small blue badge and the background on the Desktop, both being absent on Mobile.

Re-assigning to Alan, who designed both of these visually. I don't think we need to strive for perfect consistency in visual layout. The parameters of the different platforms are fairly distinct, so I think it's fine that they look different (as long as the behavior + messaging is the same). I defer to Alan, though. Feel free to mark as WontFix if you don't think there's anything to do here, Alan. If you think it makes sense to try to unify these designs a bit more, you can add the identity-ux-backlog label to track the work.

Only if we can replicate the animated checkmark that we have on desktop, would I consider moving it to mobile. Otherwise, I don't find it necessary to bring consistency.

I imagine that replication will be difficult, since the animation is done in web UI on desktop, and would need to be done natively on Android/iOS. To be honest, I feel like just adding the checkmark to the mobile confirmation screen might look a little odd, especially without the other icons in the background. I would probably err on the side of keeping things as-is. I'm going to mark as WontFix for now. |
