Autofill causes UI hanging and slowness when lots of options are available

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.143 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Have lots of options in addresses in autofill settings, I have maybe a few hundred 2. Go to a form asking for names and addresses and start typing 3. Watch as the spinning beachball of death comes up and the browser hangs for many seconds as autofill is coming up. Watch it happen for each character you type. What is the expected behavior? Autofill is fast. What went wrong? It's very very slow. Did this work before? Yes Not sure, but it's been like this for a few months Chrome version: 53.0.2785.143 Channel: n/a OS Version: OS X 10.12.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Bug 650387 was filed about password pop-ups specifically, it might be a duplicate of this one. (That bug also mentions other issues, like the settings page, but they are addressed by different bugs, as mentioned in the comments.)
