MacViews(a11y): No announcements while typing and navigating in text

Project Member Reported by sdy@chromium.org, Oct 20 2016

Issue description

Version: 56.0.2896.0
OS: 10.12

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Bring up the Authentication Dialog (https://auth-demo.aerobatic.io/protected-standard/)
(2) With VO on, type into a text field.
(3) Try navigating with the keyboard (arrow keys, option+arrow keys, etc.)

What is the expected output?
- VO announces letters as I type.
- When I navigate the typed text with the keyboard, VO gives spoken feedback by announcing letters when I move letter by letter, and announcing words when I move by the word.

What do you see instead?
When I start typing, VO announces "Selection replaced: <letter>" for the first letter I type, then stops giving feedback.

This one is pretty bad - textfield editing is broken:
1) Only the first typed character is echoed
2) The announced text seems to update only sporadically, like if you move focus after typing, then move focus back, further typed text does not update the field text
3) There's no useful way to edit secure text fields apart from typing into them

Marking this Pri-1 for MacViews-Controls.
For 3), was there a specific use case that works for Cocoa that doesn't work for MacViews? tapted@ and I were discussing this a couple months ago and I filed Issue 692362, but in general, I don't think Cocoa allows values in secure text fields to be edited via a11y clients. I could be wrong though - I'm making this assumption because if I try doing it via the Xcode Accessibility Inspector, it allows me to type extra stuff into the "Value" field but those changes disappear when I click "End editing". (With Accessibility Inspector 5.0)
