Using the per-revision bisect providing the bisect results,
Good build: 55.0.2869.0 (Revision: 420536).
Bad build: 55.0.2871.0 (Revision: 420831).

You are probably looking for a change made after 420589 (known good), but no later than 420590 (first known bad).

@tsergeant -- Could you please look into the issue, pardon me if it has nothing to do with your changes and if possible please assign it to concern owner.
Thank You.
Just to update, still seeing this issue on chrome canary version 56.0.2900.0 on MAC 10.11.6, Ubuntu 14.04.

@ tsergeant: Gentle ping, can we have an update on this issue.

This requires using the mouse (or a touchscreen) to drag open the drawer, then using the keyboard to try to select an item. This is a pretty unusual thing to do, so I don't think this needs to be P1.

As for the fix... it looks like a weird interaction between <app-drawer> and <iron-selector>. The problem probably lies in one of those two elements.

We no longer support dragging open the sidebar, so this bug is now Obsolete.
