Hello Danny, what kind of host are you attempting to connect to using Chrome Remote Desktop?
I am using a brand new iMac running OSX with Chrome version 54 as the host.
Trying to access remotely with Asus Chromebook which has Chrome OSX version
53.

I can access on other computer which is running Windows 10 but had to roll
back to Chrome v52 to have sound.

Would like to have sound accessing my iMac.

Adding MTV team as we don't have Mac desktop to test this issue.

Thanks...!!

We don't currently support audio remoting from Mac hosts.
Mac computers not supported?

The issue is that is has always worked before and now with the new v54
update there is video but no audio.
It must not be a huge involvement to look into as developers and engineers.

There has to be a quick fix for this and can someone please guide me in
letting me know if a new update will fix this or even if there is a way I
can roll back to a previous version and steps necessary to do so in order
to get sound coming through, please.

Thank you for your attention on this.
We have never supported audio remoting with Mac as the host, and there was no v54 version of Chrome Remote Desktop; perhaps you're thinking of Chrome browser (ie, the client end of the connection)?
