Issue 656345  has been merged into this issue.

Tested this issue as per the above provided screenshot & Unable to reproduce this issue on Windows 10,Mac 10.11.4,Linux Ubuntu 14.04 with Chrome  stable version - 54.0.2840.59,reported version-53.0.2785.148 and latest Canary version-56.0.2891.0 with the below steps.

1.Opened Chrome 
2.Navigate to Facebook login page
3.No Bold Font observed on website
4.Tested on gmail website & no bold font observed.

I'm sorry I'm new to this, and also sorry if any English mistake

Here is my screen shots (please see the attachments)

I used the Stylebot extension and helped to solve the problem (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/stylebot/oiaejidbmkiecgbjeifoejpgmdaleoha?utm_source=chrome-app-launcher-info-dialog) but only on webpages

I'm using Tabmenu extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tab-menu/hjeifjagcmihmdcmnfjelgdgpibefmfc), and the bold problem remains, as show on picture.

I've uninstalled Chrome completly (erase Chrome data folders on my profile) and reinstalled again. Also tryed Chrome Canary, Vivaldi but the problem remains.

Still unable to reproduce the issue on windows 7,Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.11.6 using chrome latest stable version 54.0.2840.59.Not observed any bold font on Facebook and gmail pages.

jose.godinho@ Request you once please try the issue on latest stable 54.0.2840.59 with clean profile.Also please reset all flags to defaults from chrome://flags and update the thread if the issue still persists.

Sorry to take time to answer.

I did the following:
- update to the latest stable 54.0.2840.59 with clean profile
- reset all flags and settings
- start chrome with all extensions off

And the problem remains equal

Then I've uninstalled completely Chrome. Restart the computer and after install Chrome again.

Open with all extensions off, go to Facebook page and the same issue. The same bold font :(

I'm able to work with Chrome, using Stylebot extension

Thank you for you attention. I understand this is not easy to reproduce this issue.

I've run Chrome Clean Tool, and no problem found (please see the attached snip)

I'm not a technician nor programmer but in my opinion this is probably one unidentified problem with fonts or something on the profile (restored from my google account) because is not only on web pages like Facebook, is also with Chrome extensions like Tab Menu (please see another attached snip). This issue occurs also with Google Chrome Canary and Vivaldy.

Do you have Helvetica Neue font in your system? If so, can you try removing/reinstalling it?

The font is known to cause similar issue before, on Firefox.

Problem is solved. I've removed all helvetica fonts from my Windows :)

Tested with Chrome, Chrome Canary and Vivaldy and no more bold font.
