Video Buffer status and controls disappears once switching chrome to fullscreen

Version: 56.0.2890.0 
OS: Mac OS (10.11, 10.12)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open any videos (Youtube.com)
(2) Click View --> Full Screen
(3) Observed video buffer status

What is the expected output?
Buffer status and video controls should be visible

What do you see instead?
Buffer status and video controls disappears for few seconds

Seeing this issue on Mac 10.11.6 using chrome version 	56.0.2922.0.
