nyt.com text flashes white while loading

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Visit nyt.com
(2) Notice the text draws black, flashes white, then draws black again

What is the expected output?
We shouldn't flash text white.

May we have a bisect of this bug to see if it is a regression?

Tested in reported version #55.0.2882.0 Win 10.0.

Observations:
------------------------
Not able to reproduce the "Text draws black"
Able to reproduce the Flashes for video player white,then draws black again.

Attaching the screen cast for reference.

@pdr:

Could you please let me know if i have missed anything and if possible, provide us with a screen cast of the issue which would help us triage further.
