Hover effect remains on BMB items after switching apps

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2888.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Chrome
2. Hover on a BMB item
3. Switch to another application by Cmd+Tab (cursor stays on the item)
4. Move the cursor
5. Switch back to Chrome

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
Hover remains on BMB item  when the cursor is not on it after switching applications.

Did this work before? Yes Pre-MD

Chrome version: 56.0.2888.0  Channel: canary
OS Version: OS X 10.11.6
