Reported by rof...@gmail.com, Oct 12 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2888.0 Safari/537.36

Example URL:
any

3.

What is the expected behavior?
To be able to view web pages and content

What went wrong?
random black boxes and block out content. Will move as page moves or text is highlighted so can slowly work around it but this constant issue makes using chrome impossible.

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A

Did this work before? Yes before the restart this morning. (10/11/16)

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 56.0.2888.0 Channel: canary
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: 23.0.0.185

Has started flashing the black box with a cursor in a text box.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Windows-10 using chrome latest canary M56-56.0.2888.0. Observed all the webpages loading fine without any black patches as expected.

rofeaz@ - Is this issue seen on incognito mode as well? Could you please recheck this issue by creating a new profile under chrome://settings with no apps or extensions in your browser.
Same problem here:

 54.0.2840.71 (64-bit) on OSX 10.11.6 El Capitan

After using Chrome for a couple of hours two problems happen (at the same time):
- New tabs will open showing the same content of previous tab (while url is different).
- Black boxes appear on the screen for every screen update until whole screen is black

I tried the following:
- Disable all extensions
- Re-installing Chrome after downloading newest version from google website

This did NOT solve the problem

When the problem occurs I have to restart the browser. The problem is gone (for a couple of hours) until it happens again.

As suggested, I have created a new profile with no extensions enabled. Same problem happened again after 3 hours.

The new tab stopped working and immediate (when switching to older tabs) the back boxes appear, see attached screenshot.
