Unfortunately, that is not Chrome, or Chrome's built-in translation function - that is translate in Google Search. When I paste in the text on a desktop client,I get the message "Text exceeds character limit. Open in Google Translate to see translation" I'm very certain that is the problem - the text is too long to translate directly on the web page. (You can go to translate.google.com instead, that does handle longer text) +ftang@: Frank, do you have a contact on the web side you can forward this too.

I've opened b/32119200 to track this since I don't know how to deal with non-buganizer bugs.

Thanks for taking this on, kathyr@ Marking this external dependency for now, but I'd be very surprised if there's anything we need to do Chrome-side after.
