Reported by oliverj...@gmail.com, Oct 12 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.143 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Type something in an input/textarea, including a bad spelling

What is the expected behavior?
Mac has a system wide shortcut available. When the cursor is at the end of the word, a list of suggestions will appear, and the keyboard can be used to navigate the list and select a correct spelling.

What went wrong?
This system wide behaviour is not available in Chrome's text input mode.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 53.0.2785.143 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.11.6

Able to reproduce this issue in Mac 10.12 with the chrome with latest version 54.0.2840.59. Also seeing the same behaviour on firefox and safari browsers too.

Issue seems not specific to the chrome browser.

Request you to please confirm from your end as well.

Thanks.!.

I confirm this is not specific to Chrome. This is more of a feature request
for Chrome to support the OS behaviour.

As it is a feature request marking it as Untriaged to get more inputs from dev team.
