part of the UI is drawn twice in error

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.143 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
we can only produce this on our particular site which requires a login but the attached screenshots will show what is happening. When an overlay element gets inserted someway down the page, the search input box at the top gets drawn again in the wrong location, inspecting the dom this element does not exist, it is simply painted on

What is the expected behavior?
The search box should not appear twice (see screen shots)
