Regression: Scrollbar in dropdown list is seen misplaced in 'chrome://md-settings/fonts'

Issue descriptionChrome Version:55.0.2883.6 (Official Build)7baa26fcf5c0933d5718c621debbd5d380696639-refs/branch-heads/2883@{#11} 32/64-bit. OS: Windows (7,8,8.1,10) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1)Launch chrome and navigate to chrome://md-settings/fonts. (2)Click on any drop down and observe. Actual: Dropdown scrollbar is seen slightly misplaced in 'chrome://md-settings/fonts' (i.e. Scrollbar of dropdown appears outside dropdown list area) Expected: Dropdown should be proper. This is a Regression issue broken in M-55,below is the Manual bisect info: Good Build: 55.0.2880.0 Bad Build: 55.0.2881.0 Note: Issue is not seen on Mac and Linux OS.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Widows-10 using chrome latest Dev M56-56.0.2887.0. dmascarenhas@ - Could you please recheck the same on chrome recent canary and update the latest behavior of the bug?

Tested on Dell Precision M38100 laptop windows 10 enterprise, Dell Desktop and unable to reproduce the issue.. attached screenshots for reference. might be machine specific.. request to check and provide machine details. Thank You !

I don't see a bug here. A native <select>, when expanded will take as much space as necessary to fit its longest <option>. So, for the "fonts" dropdown there are some very large font names that are causing this, see exaggerated example in the attachment. |
